Quick Start: Your First 3D Print¶
This guide helps you complete your first print quickly using your Bambu Lab printer and Bambu Studio. You do not need to understand all settings—just follow the steps in order.
Before You Start¶
Make sure you have:
Printer powered on and connected
PLA filament loaded (recommended for first print)
Bambu Studio installed on your computer
Stable Wi-Fi connection
Printer placed on a flat, stable surface
Step 1 — Power On and Setup Printer¶
Turn on the printer
Follow the on-screen setup:
Select language
Connect to Wi-Fi
Run automatic calibration
This usually takes 5–10 minutes.
Step 2 — Open Bambu Studio¶
Launch Bambu Studio on your computer.
Sign in to your account
Add your printer
Make sure the printer status shows Online
Step 3 — Choose a Simple Model¶
Open the built-in model library
Select a simple, small model
Tip: Start with a basic object to reduce print time and failure risk.
Step 4 — Slice the Model¶
Click Slice
Wait for the preview to generate
No need to change settings for your first print.
Step 5 — Send to Printer¶
Click Print
Select your printer
Confirm the print job
Step 6 — Start Printing¶
Ensure PLA filament is properly loaded
Start the print
The printer will automatically:
Heat up
Calibrate
Begin printing
Step 7 — Check the First Layer¶
The first layer is critical for success.
Check:
Filament sticks evenly to the plate
Lines are smooth and continuous
No edge lifting or warping
If it looks wrong, stop the print and retry.
After Printing¶
Wait for the build plate to cool
Remove the printed object carefully
Inspect the result
